Uses
- Used for the production of dimethylol ethylene urea thermosetting resins in textiles and paper.
- Used as a scavenging agent to reduce the free formaldehyde in phenolic, melamine, glyoxal and urea formaldehyde resin systems for the coatings, construction and textile industries.
- Used in various kinds of formaldehyde removing reagent eg. For resinous product, high effect formaldehyde removing detergent, long-term formaldehyde dissolution intermediate, formaldehyde removing for leather, rubber, textile coating, and photocatolyst.
- Used in textile anti – crease finish, anti tearing finish.
- In the flavor and fragrance industry the product is used as release control agent.
- As a raw material it can be used in pesticide.
- In biological industry, it can be used for producing growth regulator for plants, disinfectant, inhibitors, herbicide etc.
- The pharma industry is using the product as intermediate for antibiotics such as Mezlocillin and Azlocillin.
- Used as intermediate of medicine for snail fever and basic material for 3G penicillin.
Main users are the leather, rubber, fragrance and textile coating industry.

Storage & Handling
Normal safety precautions (i.e. gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling Ethylene Urea. Contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling material.
Ethylene Urea should be stored in closed containers and kept in a cool, dry place.
